The footprint of the power rack – and then the lat pulldown’s space within it – will determine how space-efficient your product is. This means saving more space in a garage or basement gym and having more space to comfortably squat, bench press, or rack pull inside the power cage.
Some products even have outward-facing lat pulldowns. These are niche since they can’t be placed against a wall – and may reduce the stability since you can’t bolt the rack to the wall properly. This can, however, save a ton of space if it suits the layout of your home gym.
